Functional Practical and Efficient Self Defence and Close Quarter Combat (CCQ) Learn striking, grappling, joint locking and takedowns in a progressive and logical manner. Weapons focussed Martial Arts Training every Weds 7.30 pm St Andrew's Church 89 Malvern Avenue HA2 9ER Private classes to suit individual requirements and areas of interest. E.g. dirty boxing, takedowns, vs weapons etc. There is more to Kali than just ‘stick fighting.’ Learning Kali will give you a good appreciation of weapon and empty hand skills, with a functionality for urban self defence, as these scenarios too often involve multiple attackers and weapons. The weapons system involves learning the single and double handed stick method. As well as this the dagger and stick with dagger are taught. The Empty hand skills are from Kali incorporating Panantukan 'dirty boxing' and Dumog 'grappling for street defence.' These are incorporated with elements of other arts - wing chun, kickboxing and aikido - to form a complete approach. Experienced instructor trained in different arts teaching a blend of skills for maximum functionality.
